The Story
Every Karlos tool was designed at the treatment table, not in a boardroom. This is the two-decade journey that built them.
Most movement-technology companies are engineers guessing at physiotherapy.
Karlos is the opposite — twenty years of hands on real bodies, systematised into a method, then amplified with AI. — Dr. Lokesh Arunagiri, Founder
Mastering the craft
Bachelor of Physiotherapy from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai — then a Master's in Neuro-Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from the University of East London (2011) and a Science of Sports fellowship at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Arsenal FC & the NHS
Strength & Conditioning coach at Arsenal Football Club; Band 6 physiotherapist at Edgware Community Hospital. Elite-sport standards and hospital-grade rigour — absorbed at the source, credentialed by the UK HPC and BASES.
Karlos Physio-Therapeutic Care is born
Back home with a conviction: Chennai's athletes and patients deserve the same standard. A clinic built on measurement, not guesswork — "Restore. Strengthen. Thrive."
One clinic becomes four
Kottivakkam on the ECR coast, Adyar, Porur in West Chennai, and an industrial clinic at Sriperumbudur — same KMAP method, same standards, at every door.
KMAP + AI: 25+ tools built in-house
Twenty years of clinical pattern-recognition encoded into computer-vision software — gait, posture, spine, joints, sport actions — turning "it looks a bit off" into numbers you can act on.
Chennai to the world
The online platform takes Karlos beyond geography: guided phone-camera capture, clinician-validated reports in 48–72h, and a vision that ends with the Karlos engine inside clinics across continents.
